Job summary

A family-run vehicle service provider in South Cambridgeshire seeks an experienced HGV/LCV Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy goods vehicles. The ideal candidate has proven experience, excellent mechanical and electrical skills, and strong customer service capabilities. Qualifications

  • Proven experience working on HGVs and LCVs.
  • Relevant automotive qualifications are a plus.
  • DAF experience and training is beneficial but not essential.
  • Full UK driving licence with a clean record.

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of a well-established commercial vehicle service provider in South Cambridgeshire. With a growing customer base and a strong reputation for quality, they are expanding their team and seeking motivated technicians to join them. This is a family-run business where your skills are valued.



Key Responsibilities


  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) and light commercial vehicles (LCVs).

  • Ensure all vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and operating at peak performance.

  • Identify and fix mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.

  • Work independently and collaboratively within the workshop team.

  • Deliver excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients.



Qualifications


  • Proven experience working on HGVs and LCVs.

  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.

  • Proactive, with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

  • Relevant automotive qualifications are a plus.

  • DAF experience and training is beneficial but not essential.

  • Full UK driving licence with a clean record.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.



Working Hours

Flexible shift patterns including early, day, and late shifts to meet customer needs. Specific hours can be discussed to suit your availability.
