HGV Technician Leicester Depot Pay Rate : £19.95 per hour OTE £51,000 Hours : Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week (some Saturdays when required) Shift Pattern : 06 : 0015 : 00 and 13 : 0022 : 00 (£1,500 Joining Bonus!) Overtime & Optional Call-Out Available

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our team in Leicester.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet from light commercial vans to 44t articulated vehicles and specialist waste management equipment.

This role is ideal for a proactive technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles and waste‑handling equipment in line with health & safety and DVSA requirements.
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Support the fleet operator licence commitments through accurate service records.
• Work efficiently to minimise downtime and keep the fleet on the road.

Requirements

• Level 3 HGV / PSV Apprenticeship, City & Guilds, or NVQ qualification (essential).
• Full car / van driving licence (essential).
• HGV licence (desirable).
• IRTEC qualification (desirable).
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, PSV Mechanic, or LGV Technician preferred.
• Semi‑skilled technicians are welcome to apply upskilling and training available!
