Overview

Location: Worcestershire (Droitwich area). Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 per annum (Apply online only). Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Shifts: Alternating 8:00am – 4:30pm and 3:00pm – 11:00pm. Extras include overtime, ongoing training, pension scheme, life insurance, and more. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician or HGV Fitter to join a busy, established commercial vehicle workshop. You will maintain commercial vehicles and trailers to MOT standard in a professional, modern, and well-equipped environment where ongoing training and career progression are actively supported.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles and trailers to VOSA standards
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and accurately
  • Attend roadside or customer premises breakdowns when required
  • Work safely and professionally following all health and safety guidelines
  • Coordinate with parts department to order necessary components
  • Complete job cards and service documentation accurately and on time
  • Maintain a clean, organised work area and uphold workshop standards
  • Participate in ongoing product and technical training to keep skills current
Skills and Qualifications
  • Essential – Technical qualification such as City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3, or equivalent proven experience in HGV maintenance
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure
  • Good communication skills and a team player attitude
  • Understanding of health and safety practices in a workshop environment
Desirable
  • LGV / HGV licence
  • ADR qualification
  • Experience working on a wide range of commercial vehicles
