Overview

HGV Mechanic – Location: Waltham Point. Salary: Night shift 4 on 4 off - £51,717 basic (we do not provide sponsorship). Ref: 27197.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic to join our client's workshop in Waltham Point. The successful HGV Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles makes and models.

HGV Mechanic responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
• Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.

HGV Mechanic requirements

• You will need to have experience as a vehicle technician and a relevant and up to date qualification.
• You will be a person who takes great pride in your work.
• You will have incredible attention to detail and an eye for spotting things others cannot.
• You will need a full valid UK driving licence.
• A stocked toolbox that you can use for work.
