HG Recruitment are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 and Class 2 Drivers for ongoing work involving a mixture of multidrop and trunking work for our client based in Dundee. The role involves clean and straightforward delivery and possible to distribution centres.

Rates Class 1 (approx.£814.00 per week (55 hours), circa£42,328.00 per annum on days)

Class 1 Driver days - £14.10

Class 1 Driver days (after 12 weeks) - £14.80

Class 1 Driver nights - £15.43

Class 1 Driver nights (after 12 weeks) - £16.13

Rates Class 2 (approx.£780.45 per week (55 hours), circa£40,583.40 per annum on days)

Class 2 Driver days - £13.49

Class 2 Driver days (after 12 weeks) - £14.19

Class 2 Driver nights - £15.41

Class 2 Driver night (after 12 weeks) - £16.11

Duties

• Driving and Delivering: Operate articulated lorries (HGVs) over 3.5 tonnes, transporting goods to various locations, including local, national deliveries.
• Loading and Unloading: Supervise the loading of vehicles to ensure that all items are secured properly for transit, minimizing the risk of damage.
• Route Planning: Plan delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival at destinations, adapting to traffic and weather conditions as necessary.
• Customer Interaction: Maintain regular contact with site personnel and provide exceptional customer service during deliveries.
• Compliance: Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies, including vehicle maintenance checks and reporting any issues.
