Commercial Air Conditioning & Ventilation Engineer
Location: Mobile role covering London & Home Counties
Hours: 40 hours per week (overtime available)
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 depending on experience - with travel paid door-to-door + overtime at 1.5x, Sunday and evening work at 2x
What You'll Be Doing
- Performing planned preventative maintenance on air conditioning and ventilation systems (including AHUs)
- Diagnosing and repairing system faults and failures
- Pressure testing and recharging refrigerant circuits in line with F-Gas regulations
- Replacing defective components and carrying out upgrades where necessary
- Checking and adjusting system control parameters (basic BMS knowledge required)
- Documenting work completed via a mobile field system
- Liaising with customers on-site and providing clear updates
- Participating in the on-call rota for out-of-hours support
What We\'re Looking For
- A qualified HVAC engineer with proven commercial experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- A collaborative team player with excellent attention to detail
- Someone who takes pride in their work and safety standards
- Experience working in a similar role within planned and reactive maintenance
Requirements
- City & Guilds 2079 F-Gas Cat 1 (mandatory) - to legally handle refrigerants
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent)
- A valid CSCS card (or willingness to obtain)
- A full UK driving licence
- Additional certifications such as IPAF and PASMA are desirable
