Job summary

A charitable organization in Cambridgeshire is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to ensure the safe running of its activities and advise on H&S matters. Candidates must have a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent and proven management experience in H&S. This hybrid role allows for home working with some time in Cambridge and travel as needed. Health & Safety Manager required

Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is an independent charitable organisation which exists to improve the quality of life for older people in the county.

We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety professional to be responsible for ensuring the safe running of activities across the organisation and the sites from which it operates.

The successful candidate should hold a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification and have proven experience in H&S co‑ordination/management. The H&S Manager will be expected to have in depth knowledge of H&S regulations and best practise to enable them to support the practical implementation and delivery of H&S legislation and policy, monitor and review the organisation’s risk control and provide specialist advice on H&S matters across the organisation.

  • Hours: 23 hours per week Monday to Friday
  • Location: Hybrid*
  • Salary: £24,207 per annum + benefits

*This is a hybrid post, based at least one day a fortnight at our premises in Cambridge, combined with home working and travel throughout the county as required.
