Overview

Health & Safety Coordinator — Clydebank
Up to £27,000 + benefits
Hours: Mon–Thu 8:20–16:20, Fri 8:20–15:20

Are you a Health & Safety professional looking to grow your career in a supportive manufacturing environment with NEBOSH, IOSH or similar HSE qualifications (or working towards it)? This is a brilliant opportunity to step into a Coordinator role where you’ll work closely with the QHSE Manager and play a key part in keeping people safe, compliant and engaged on site.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the QHSE Manager in maintaining ISO9001, 14001, 45001 and BRC accreditations.
  • Giving practical advice and guidance on all health, safety and environmental matters.
  • Helping teams with hazard spotting, risk assessments and implementing controls.
  • Recording and investigating incidents and near misses.
  • Delivering training sessions and toolbox talks.
  • Carrying out audits and inspections to monitor safety culture.
  • Assisting with environmental management, such as waste segregation and monitoring.
  • Supporting the management of contractors and consultants.
Qualifications
  • NEBOSH, IOSH or similar HSE qualification (or working towards it).
  • Some experience in health & safety, ideally gained in a manufacturing or FMCG setting.
  • Strong communicator with the confidence to influence at all levels.
  • Good organisational skills and Microsoft Office know-how.
  • A team player with problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
