About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety Co-ordinator to join our dynamic team within the infrastructure sector. This is a pivotal role where you will support the delivery of major infrastructure projects by ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all stages of construction and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the company's Health & Safety Management System.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Assist in the development of method statements, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
  • Monitor and report on health and safety performance, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and training sessions to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure best practices are followed.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
What We're Looking For
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a health and safety role within the infrastructure, construction, or civil engineering sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and CDM regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple project sites.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Membership of IOSH or working towards it.
  • Experience with ISO 45001 or similar management systems.
  • First Aid at Work qualification.
