Job summary

A community-focused health organization in Knighton is seeking a Health Care Support Worker to support nursing care delivery in clinical and home environments. The ideal candidate will have NVQ3 qualifications in Health or Social Care and strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, with access to a car and a desire to contribute to community health services. The salary ranges from £25,313 to £26,999 per annum pro rata.

Job description

As a Health Care Support Worker, you will support the delivery of nursing care to clients within a clinical setting and/or home environment, as part of a team and under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Main duties of the job

This is an ideal opportunity for a Health Care Support Worker who is seeking to broaden and utilise their range of skills and knowledge to nurse people in their own environment as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will participate in the delivery of skilled, autonomous nursing care to patients within their own home.

The Knighton District Nursing Team are an integral part of the Virtual Ward that aims to prevent unnecessary admissions to hospital and facilitate early discharge home.

This postinvolves lone working and the ability to travel independently is essential.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Experience

• Meets all essential criteria

• NVQ3 in Health or Social Care or equivalent demonstrable experience in a Health or Social Care setting
