Job Summary

GracePath Healthcare is actively seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistants to join our growing team in London. You will be responsible for providing essential care to our service users, helping them lead dignified, independent, and fulfilling lives at home or in care facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and feeding

  • Support with mobility and assist clients with physical therapies and exercises

  • Administer or prompt medication in line with care plans and policies

  • Monitor and record vital signs, behaviors, and any concerns

  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients

  • Report changes in the physical or emotional condition of the client to the healthcare team

  • Support clients with domestic tasks such as preparing meals and light housekeeping

  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with safeguarding policies

  • Respect client confidentiality, dignity, and cultural preferences

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) – Preferred but not essential

  • Basic understanding of care standards and regulations in the UK

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Ability to follow instructions and care plans accurately

  • Must pass an enhanced DBS check (or be willing to obtain one)

  • Eligible to work in the UK or require sponsorship (GracePath Healthcare offers sponsorship)

Experience
  • Minimum 6 months of caregiving or healthcare experience is desirable

  • Experience working with the elderly, individuals with disabilities, or those with chronic illnesses is an advantage

  • International healthcare experience will also be considered

Working Hours
  • Full-time roles available (minimum 37.5 hours/week)

  • Flexible shifts: Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Overnight, and Weekend Rotations

  • Overtime and extra shifts available
