Job description
Overview

A vacancy at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). The role is based at the Northern Contraception, Sexual Health & HIV Service, Salford Hub at Lance Burn Health Centre. The Integrated Sexual Health Service provides Level 3 contraception and sexual health services and operates several clinics across Salford.

Key Responsibilities
  • See patients independently within an integrated sexual and reproductive health service in line with banding, experience and competence.
  • Complete partner notification and support colleagues with Health Advisor tasks.
  • Perform symptomatic and asymptomatic screening, venepuncture and vaccination as an autonomous practitioner.
  • Provide sexual health advice to clients and support the role of the health advisor.
  • Administer hormonal contraception and medicines under agreed Patient Group Directions (PGD) or as a non‑medical prescriber.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in sexual health and contraception.
  • Holding the DFSRH/STIF qualification or equivalent.

Your main place of work will be at The Lance Burn Health Centre in Salford. We will consider a band 5‑6 training position if there are no suitable qualified nurse applicants.
