A leading homeware retailer in the UK is looking for a Head of Stores to lead their South West region. The role involves inspiring store teams, driving revenue, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. Ideal candidates have a strong background in retail leadership, are commercially minded, and have a passion for design. This position entails regular travel across the UK and offers a competitive salary along with generous benefits.
We believe in creating thoughtful spaces that make life that little bit more beautiful - and meaningful. Our carefully considered collections of furniture, kitchens, lighting and homewares are designed to stand the test of time, and it's our people who bring our brand to life each day. We’re now searching for a Head of Stores to lead our retail offering within our South West region, inspiring and supporting each space to thrive. Helping your stores to deliver exceptional customer experiences, reach their revenue goals, and truly feel part of the Neptune family.
This is a pivotal leadership role, perfect for someone who has a head for business, a heart for people, and an unwavering love for interiors and great design.
This role is about inspiring leadership and strategic thinking in equal measure. You'll spend around 80% of your time visiting your stores within your region and regular visits to our support office in Wiltshire. From coaching on the shop floor to high-level financial planning, you'll be equally comfortable driving growth, championing training and development, and ensuring our customer journey is second to none. You'll be key in setting - and meeting - ambitious, yet thoughtful, regional KPIs and bringing local marketing ideas to life that really connect with our communities.
We are looking for someone who is a natural leader with a warm, encouraging style. Someone who can adapt their style to the situation and lift others with your presence. You will bring a track record in multi-site or regional retail leadership, ideally within a premium or design-led environment, and bring both commercial acumen and a love for quality and craftsmanship.
It's important that you are commercially minded, analytical, and confident in setting and reviewing KPIs. You will also be exceptionally organised, with experience in budgeting and forecasting. You will also be passionate about interiors, kitchens or design-led retail and a clear communicator with strong presentation skills. It goes without saying you'll also be tech-savvy (Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office) and also happy to travel extensively throughout the UK, with a full UK driving licence.
Across all locations, we stay united by our company values: Do The Right Thing, Do It Together, Aim High and Keep It Real.
We are a growing business that encourages our people to grow with us. Neptune's goal is to ensure we have a diverse and inclusive work environment, where all of our employees have equal access to opportunities and everyone's voices are heard.
