Overview

About The Role: This is a full-time role working 36 hours per week, with full flexibility including alternate weekend working.

As Head of Service at HC-One, you’ll value kindness above all. This role supports Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist Care homes, focusing on resident wellbeing and service delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals that residents will love.
  • Assist with and prepare cakes for morning tea, and desserts/cakes at lunch.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene.
  • Maintain food supplies and monitor fridge/freezer temperatures.
  • Demonstrate equipment use to new starters and clean up spills as needed.
  • Communicate with Residents and co-workers with kindness and consideration.
  • Work within relevant Food Safety, Health and Safety, RIDDOR and COSHH regulations.
  • Follow recipes and maintain excellent record keeping and organisational skills.
Qualifications
  • Kitchen experience required.
  • Aware of The Food Safety Act 1990, The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, RIDDOR and COSHH regulations.
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain hygiene standards.
