Head of Quality and Operations – Competitive Salary + Benefits (Dependent upon experience) – Tamworth

Our Client: A well-established industrial manufacturing company seeking a talented and experienced Head of Quality and Operations to join their team in Tamworth. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to lead quality, procurement, and operational functions, driving continuous improvement and supporting the company's strategic growth and sustainability ambitions.

The Role

The Head of Quality and Operations will be responsible for monitoring and continually improving product, manufacturing, and operational performance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading procurement strategies aligned with business goals
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation
  • Driving efficiencies to support strategic growth
  • Overseeing quality assurance, supplier management, complaint resolution, and risk mitigation to maintain operational excellence
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant quality, manufacturing, or engineering discipline
  • Proven experience implementing ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
  • Six Sigma or equivalent qualifications
  • Certified internal auditor
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication abilities and a proactive approach to driving continuous improvement
  • Valid UK driving licence required due to travel within the region
  • Knowledge of greenhouse gas reporting and a lead auditor certification is desirable

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while fostering a positive, accountable team culture.
