Location: London (Hybrid – 4 days in office/travel expected)

Salary: £100,000 – £120,000 + Bonus + Pension at 10% + PMI

The Head of Procurement opportunity

This is a newly created role offering the chance to build and lead a group-wide procurement function from the ground up. Historically, procurement has been decentralised, with pockets of spend managed independently across business units. This role will unify and professionalise procurement across all indirect categories, with a particular focus on IT (hardware/software), marketing, HR. You’ll be joining at a pivotal moment, with the opportunity to shape strategy, implement best practices, and deliver tangible commercial value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of a global procurement strategy across all business units.
  • Conduct a full diagnostic of current procurement activity and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Implement frameworks, processes, and governance to drive consistency and value.
  • Deliver cost savings, optimise supplier relationships, and improve procurement outcomes.
  • Manage and develop a small London-based team of procurement analysts.

Head of Procurement requirements:

You’re an experienced procurement professional who thrives in dynamic, entrepreneurial environments. You’re equally comfortable operating at strategic level and rolling up your sleeves to get things done.

  • Proven experience in indirect procurement across multiple categories.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • A pragmatic, collaborative approach to change management.
  • Experience building procurement functions or leading transformation projects.
  • Commercial acumen and a value-add mindset (not just cost-cutting).
  • Ideally, experience in mid-sized commercial organisations

  • Base Salary: £100,000 – £120,000 (DOE)
