A leading education and consultancy organization in Edinburgh is seeking a Head of Operations (Infrastructure & Support Services). This role involves overseeing the infrastructure team and IT support, ensuring seamless delivery of essential systems. SRUC’s information & Digital Services Group (IDS) provides and manages the information technology, digital systems and information security services that support SRUC’s core activities — including teaching, learning, research, professional consultancy and administration services.
Reporting to the Head of Information and Digital Services, the Head of Operations (Infrastructure & Support Services) is responsible for leading both the infrastructure team and the IT support function, ensuring seamless delivery of core systems and responsive 1st and 2nd line support. This will include the design, development, support, and management of SRUC’s infrastructure systems, networks, endpoints and audio visual systems to ensure that the systems deliver business‑agreed levels of performance, capacity, availability, security and resilience.
The postholder will ensure that infrastructure and support services meet business‑agreed levels of performance, availability, user experience and user satisfaction in line with ITIL best practice.
The postholder will work in strategic partnership with the IDS Leadership Team to develop, deliver and support the current and future architecture and operations of SRUC systems, duties will include analysis/research, teaching/learning support, service delivery and line management of a team of IT professionals.
