Job Title: Head of Finance and Company Secretary

Hours: 30 hours per week

Terms: Permanent

Location: Glastonbury Abbey, Somerset

Responsibilities
  • Glastonbury Abbey is looking for a skilled and dynamic finance professional to join our senior leadership team. You'll lead on all financial, governance, and administrative matters, ensuring robust systems, compliance, and strong financial planning for this world-famous heritage site.
  • Reporting to the Director, you'll manage the finance team, act as Company Secretary, oversee HR functions, and work closely with colleagues to deliver our charitable objectives.
  • This is a unique opportunity to combine strategic financial leadership with the chance to help shape the future of one of England's most iconic historic landmarks.
Qualifications
  • We're seeking a qualified accountant with proven senior management experience (preferably in the heritage and/or charitable sectors), strong commercial awareness, and excellent communication skills.
