Job description
Overview

This highly regarded professional services firm based in London seeks a Qualified Accountant to run and manage its Finance and Administration function. Reporting to the Management board, duties will include:

  • Review and evaluate the Firm's accounting systems, processes and controls and recommend improvements
  • Managing production of Practice accounts, annual budget, cash flow, performance statistics, work in progress control and bad debt provision
  • Prepare statutory accounts for 3 companies and arrange and co-ordinate audit as required
  • Manage end of quarter billing process and report to partners
  • Preparing papers and financial reports for the Board including: profit sharing, distributions, calculation of reserves
  • Maintain Treasury function to optimise interest return and liaise with bank contacts
  • Manage credit control function, debtor collection and fee disputes
  • Manage financial aspects relating to retired Partners
  • Direct line responsibility for the performance of the practice accounting staff and credit control staff
  • Contractual matters, including insurance, professional indemnity insurance and equipment hire or finance agreements.
  • Manage relationship with outsourced IT provider and maintenance company
  • Responsible for the Firm's Health & Safety ensuring that all legal obligations met
