Head of Finance - Hybrid | Bolton / Manchester

£50,000 - £55,000 + up to 10% bonus + benefits

Hybrid working (3 days on site)

The Role for Head Of Finance: We're looking for a hands-on Head of Finance to lead a small team, own cash and reporting processes, and provide the financial insight that drives business growth. This is a chance to step into a visible, senior role in a scaling SME environment in our Bolton based business in Greater Manchester.

Responsibilities

• Deliver month-end by WD5 and a board pack by WD7.
• Run a live 13-week cashflow and lead weekly cash meetings.
• Oversee WIP, revenue recognition, and project margin tracking.
• Drive working capital improvements (collections, supplier terms, stock control).
• Manage banking relationships, payroll accuracy, and core compliance.
• Lead and develop a team of 4 while improving processes and reporting.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with strong SME experience.
• Skilled in cash forecasting, working capital, and project accounting.
• Confident with banks, advisers, and compliance.
• Strong Excel/BI skills (Zoho a bonus).
• Ideally based locally to the Bolton or Greater Manchester area
