Overview

ABOUT THE ROLE Are you an experienced Care professional, with the passion to make a difference? Can you lead a team of people to deliver outstanding care to our residents, whilst encouraging them to always do their best? As Head of Care, you’ll support the Home Manager with the management of the Home to ensure that the highest standards of care are delivered and maintained at all times. You’ll carry out initial assessments of potential residents, produce individual care plans and support both residents and their families through the process. Leading a team of carers, you’ll be responsible for rota planning, employee recruitment and both induction and mandatory training, ensuring that the needs of our residents are recognised, assessed and met where possible. You’ll also monitor and manage individual employee performance to ensure standards are upheld, addressing any issues as they arise through the appropriate channels. Located in the popular area of Iffley, close to Oxford is Isis House offering friendly and high-quality residential, early-stage dementia, intermediate and nursing care to 80 residents. The home is conveniently located close to shopping amenities, including a chemist, and is on a bus route to the city centre. A short walk from the well-designed grounds takes you to the river and the charming village of Iffley.

About You

You’ll have previous management experience in elderly care with an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care and be willing to work towards Management Diploma Level 4 or 5 (or equivalent). You’ll have excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and will be committed to promoting and developing the highest standards of care.
