Astute’s Power team is partnering with a leading Power Generation company to recruit a Group Lead Account Manager for a hybrid role working across UK

The Group Lead Account Manager comes with a starting salary of up to •,000 + bonus + benefits.

Responsibilities and duties of the Group Lead Account Manager
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Account Management team to achieve revenue, margin, and growth targets.
  • Define and execute commercial and business development strategies within the Waste-to-X / energy services portfolio.
  • Build and maintain long-term strategic customer relationships to support contract renewals and account expansion.
  • Own and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and opportunity tracking across service categories.
  • Increase share-of-wallet with existing customers while identifying and securing new accounts and service opportunities.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of service and small-to-medium projects, driving performance, quality, and margin improvement.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for commercial, contractual, and project-related issues.
  • Ensure full compliance with QHSE policies, standards, and regulatory requirements across all account activities.
  • Collaborate closely with Field Service, Technical Service, Spare Parts, and other internal teams to drive operational alignment.
  • Champion and embed effective project management methodologies across all service-related activities.
Professional qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Proven experience as an Account Manager or Service Manager within the power, energy, or utilities sector.
  • Background working for a Mechanical Service Contractor, with hands-on service delivery experience.
  • Strong commercial capability, including pricing, contract negotiation, and financial performance management.
  • Experience working within matrix organizations and managing complex customer portfolios; CRM/IFS experience preferred.
Personal skills
  • Strong commitment to QHSE excellence and a proactive safety-first mindset.
  • Highly customer-focused, commercially astute, and strategic in approach.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills, with willingness to travel regionally.
