Overview

Sanctuary provide in-house repairs and maintenance services for an extensive portfolio of properties across Sanctuary organisations. Role

Grounds Maintenance Team Leader – Glasgow to cover Glasgow and the Southwest Scotland

Salary: £26,863 - £28,276 per year

Hours: 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday

Responsibilities
  • Provide supervisory support in keeping estates well maintained and clean
  • Use equipment and materials in a safe manner as instructed and in accordance with risk assessment and the manufacturer’s guidance
  • Carry out all hazardous tasks such as spraying, in accordance with supplier guidelines ensuring relevant records are maintained to comply with health and safety and legal requirements
  • Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and continue to be suitable for required tasks
  • Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations
Skills and experiences
  • A pesticide application certificate PA1 – PA6 or equivalent
  • NVQ3 or equivalent in Horticulture or similar discipline is desirable
  • Recent experience of working within a similar role where operating gardening machinery is essential
  • Some experience of supervising others
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
