Job description

An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and driven Graduate Commercial Property Surveyor to join a busy firm of surveyors specialising in Business Rates matters. The department provides expert advice to a wide range of clients across the office, industrial and retail sectors across the UK.

Based in our Head Office in Denton, Manchester, the candidate would be working primarily with the head of the department to undertake rating valuations and also provide support to the other members of the surveying team.

Main responsibilities to include:

• Inspection and surveys of client properties
• Research including lease analysis and collation and analysis of comparable data.
• Assisting with the preparation of valuations and written submissions
• Undertaking preliminary negotiations
• Supporting and working alongside all members of the surveying team and other operational departments.

The Candidate

• You will ideally hold a commercial property/estates management degree or equivalent commercial property qualification and be working toward APC qualification.
• Have experience of undertaking measured surveys
• Hold a full Driving Licence
• Be ambitious and motivated to progress their career
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be able to work on own initiative
• Possess good IT skills including proficiency in Word and Excel
• Be well organised, flexible and work to tight deadlines
