A local government authority is seeking a Junior Surveyor to assist with the management of its asset portfolio. This role includes responsibilities such as valuations, lease renewals, and property inspections. The ideal candidate will have experience in a commercial environment and up-to-date knowledge of property legislation. We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Property & Place Team as a Junior Surveyor.
Location: East Suffolk Council, Lowestoft and/or Melton
Salary: £31,537 - £42,839 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent. This is a career graded post with progress beyond some increments may be accelerated dependent on achieving specific competencies agreed with the manager.

Your Role
To assist the Estates Team within Property & Place with the management of the asset portfolio. Your work will include valuations, lease renewals, rent reviews, lettings, inspections of the assets, property management and reporting to Senior Officers and members on the performance of the portfolio.
The post holder will have experience in working to agreed targets within a commercial environment and be up to date with current property legislation and practice. The candidate will have firsthand knowledge of property related issues faced by local authorities and other public sector organisations.
The candidate will be able to meet tight deadlines and have the ability to collect and analyse complex information, to consider and evaluate all relevant factors and draw logical and reasoned conclusions.
