Job Title: 1:1 SEN Mental Health Support Worker Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday Location, Cirencester, GL7 Pay: From £89 per day Start: September 2nd Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and looking for a role where you can make a real difference every day? Here at Axcis Education, we’re working with a welcoming primary school in Cirencester to recruit a dedicated 1:1 Mental Health Support Worker. You’ll be supporting a child with ASD in a nurturing, play-based environment. Your role will focus on: - Building social skills, particularly around sharing and turn-taking. - Supporting flexible, play-based learning, adapting daily routines to suit their needs. - Encouraging exploration and creativity, from sensory water play to role-play and imaginative games. - Taking learning outside the classroom, giving the pupil space to explore the world in their own way. This role is perfect for someone who: - Has experience with SEN, early years, or child development (graduates in Psychology, Education, or related fields are encouraged to apply). - Is calm, patient, and adaptable, with a proactive approach to support. - Loves play-based learning – whether that’s role-play, sensory water play, or even making animal noises! - Can commit to building a consistent, positive relationship with the child.
