Job summary

A leading technical consultancy is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to work on diverse projects across Defence, Medical, Industrial, and Aerospace applications. Candidates must have a strong 3D CAD background (SolidWorks and/or Creo) and a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a leading UK university. Excellent communication and customer-facing skills are essential, along with the willingness to work on Defence projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1st / 2.1 Bachelors / Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Strong 3D CAD skills using SolidWorks and/or Creo.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems.
  • Support prototype development and work closely with customers.
  • Perform engineering calculations and analysis.

Overview

A Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer with a minimum of a 1st /2.1 Bachelors / Masters Degree gained from a leading University, proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks and/or Creo), exposure to electronics and some knowledge of FEA / CFD will join an exciting Technical Consultancy where you\'ll have the chance to work on a diverse range of projects across Defence, Medical, Industrial and Aerospace applications.

Essential Requirements
  • Minimum of 1st / 2.1 Bachelors / Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline gained from a leading UK University.
  • Strong 3D CAD skills using SolidWorks and / or Creo.
  • Hands–on experience within a workshop or assembly environment ideally with some electronics exposure.
  • An understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with simulation tools such as FEA or CFD.
  • Some basic programming or scripting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, customer facing skills and a good team player.
  • Willingness to work on Defence projects.
