Overview

You will like kickstarting your career in Landscape Architecture from Bournemouth office with this interdisciplinary planning, design and environmental consultancy who also have UK offices in Birmingham, London and Bristol. They are well established with 40+ years and a track record on a variety of interesting development projects across the UK. They are renowned for results and have an enviable track record of helping landowners, investors, businesses and developers secure planning permission.

The Graduate Landscape Architect role is aimed at graduates to start from 2025 onwards and to learn the ropes as a Landscape Architect, with mentorship through to full CMLI Chartered Planner status.

Senior staff will provide a supportive environment for your career development.

Responsibilities
  • Support the landscape architecture team and wider company on a range of tasks including site visits, research and analysis.
  • Prepare drawings including hand-drawn sketches, concept and technical drawings and technical documents.
  • Contribute to Landscape Appraisal and Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments and preparation of presentation materials.
  • Review relevant local, regional and national planning policies and research project-specific landscape architecture issues.
Qualifications
  • BA and MA in Landscape Architecture from an accredited Landscape Institute course.
  • Technical knowledge in both soft and hard landscaping.
  • Strong graphic, design, drawing, sketching and written skills.
  • Strong writing and communication skills – GCSE English language minimum Grade 6 or equivalent.
  • Full UK driving licence desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach and good time management to meet tight deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team; self-motivated with initiative and a proactive attitude.
  • Flexible attitude and willingness to travel within the UK.
  • Enthusiastic, conscientious, open-minded, resilient and professional under pressure.
  • A desire to progress toward Chartership.
  • Technology: Some experience in VectorWorks and/or AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign and Illustrator), QGIS and Microsoft 365 is desirable.
  • Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
