ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an Analyst Grade 2 to join our team in Aberdeen. In this role, you will work alongside the Team Leader/Supervisor, Senior Analyst, and Analyst Grade 1 to ensure day‑to‑day priorities are met. You will carry out analytical tasks, equipment calibrations, and prepare job reporting requirements. Acting as a role model, you will mentor junior team members and ensure compliance with QHSE processes.

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience working in a UKAS‑accredited laboratory or hold a relevant degree/HNC. You are highly proficient in MS Office, detail‑oriented, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment. A positive attitude, flexibility, and strong communication skills are essential. You will be hands‑on, adaptable, and motivated to support both technical and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily analytical activities in line with technical standards and client requirements
  • Mentor and support junior staff in routine and new analytical techniques
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain calibration standards
  • Represent Intertek externally with professionalism
  • Support new projects, method development, and validation work
  • Ensure compliance with QHSE standards (ISO 17025, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001)
  • Promote Intertek values and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills and Experience
  • Degree/HNC or equivalent experience in a UKAS‑accredited laboratory
  • Strong IT skills (MS Office, data entry)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Ability to work collaboratively and mentor others
