Responsibilities
- Draft and refine our global mobility policy.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues to understand employee mobility and global talent needs.
- Ensure compliance with local immigration laws, tax regulations, and employment policies across various jurisdictions.
- Research, prepare proposals, and create project plans for new entity creations, coordinating with relevant stakeholders internally and externally.
- Coordinate with external partners, such as counsel and relocation services providers.
- Maintain accurate employee records related to mobility and track relevant information such as assignment durations, work permits, and visa expirations.
- Stay updated on global immigration trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to global mobility and global talent markets.
- Create internal control procedures for contingent workers.
- Coordinate and draft proposals for global transfer requests.
- Create information guides and checklists to support employees in their global transfers.
- Track global visas and manage visa preparations with immigration counsel (L-1, H-1B, TN, F-1, PERM, Skilled Worker, etc.).
- Manage new work visas in our global locations together with the relocating employees.
- Provide ongoing support to relocating employees with assignment matters such as payroll, benefits, immigration, expenses, insurance, and local benefits (housing, transportation, schooling, shipping, and local registrations).
- Draft invitation letters and other letters related to travel business visas.
- Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in global mobility, immigration, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of international immigration laws, tax regulations, and employment policies.
- Understanding of various types of work permits, visas, and relocation processes.
- Exceptional organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships with employees, managers, and external partners across geographic locations.
