Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic Supply General Science Teacher to provide high-quality cover across a range of secondary schools in the Ipswich area. This role is ideal for a qualified Science teacher who enjoys variety and wants the flexibility to choose when and where they work. Beginning September 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging Biology, Chemistry and Physics lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience an advantage) using pre-planned resources.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Adapt quickly to different school settings and follow each school’s policies.
  • Assess and provide feedback on pupil progress where required.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge across all three sciences.
  • Recent experience teaching Science at KS3/KS4.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills as General Science Teacher.
  • A valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
