Overview

General Manager Leisure Centre 40K basic + 6K OTE

Waterlooville

I am looking for a general manager to run one of the leading and largest leisure centres on the South Coast in Havant. The centre employs 100 full and part time staff, has more than 5500 members, a 1500 + participant learn to swim programme and has a group fitness timetable of over 100 classes across the 3 studios with a popular café that is managed in house. We are keen to hear from an inspirational leader who has the all-round commercial and operational skills to take this £3m turnover leisure centre onto the next level by inspiring the team to consistently deliver outstanding customer service and operational excellence across the centre. Ideally you can demonstrate a proven track record in general management within either the private or leisure management sectors of the fitness industry and will have worked with both a family focused membership and a significant swimming pool programme.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring your teams are set up to meet and exceed budgets across multiple revenues lines.
  • Recruit, coach and inspire your team to deliver exceptional service and meet their individual targets and goals.
  • Delivering on key targets for DD membership, learn to swim, casual swimming and summer camps.
  • Ensuring the café meets and exceeds all its GP targets, ATV and receives a 5*EHO rating.
  • Constantly analyse business performance, data and trends and take appropriate action to keep the business on track.
  • Build strong relations with internal and external stakeholders ensuring you meet and exceed the needs of the community.
  • Focus on achieving an outstanding Quest accreditation and the highest levels of health and safety.
Working pattern

As general manager you will not be required to work duty management shifts, but you will be expected to work a minimum of one early (7-3pm) and 1 late shift (1-9pm) per week and a minimum of 2 weekend days per month (9-5pm).

Salary and benefits

In addition to a competitive basic salary in the range of up to 40K the position offers an annual bonus of up to ^K with benefits including 31 days holiday per annum, rising to 34 days after 5 years\' service, a healthcare cash plan, employee assistance and employee discount platform, free gym membership plus 1,death in service x3 salary and free onsite parking.
