We're looking for a General Manager for a popular Community pub and Hotel. Salary up to £40k plus bonus and a generous benefits package.

Marston’s is one of the UK’s largest and most beloved pub chains and today, we operate more than 1,300 pubs, bars and hotels. Due to an internal move in the business, we’re on the lookout for a great General Manager to take charge at the Shah of Persia in Poole and lead the team to success!

About the pub

The Shah of Persia in Poole is a busy family-friendly pub and hotel situated close to the town centre. Ideally located for holidaymakers and business travellers alike, the pub also offers comfortable accommodation in the form of 14 en-suite bedrooms. Situated on a key road, and just a mile from the beach, the Shah of Persia has strong year round trade. The pub has a very strong reputation and high guest satisfaction scores, and is known locally for its strong quiz and bingo nights mid‑week, and key trading of food on Sundays.

Currently averaging £24,000 per week in sales with a sales mix of £9k Wet, £11k Dry, and £4k on Rooms. With the strong Senior team already in place, there is scope within this business to grow food and drink sales even further. We are looking for a passionate community operator who has the vision to drive this business forward!

Management accommodation is not available at this site, in lieu of this- we are offering a £7,500 live out allowance.
