Job description

We are recruiting a General Healthcare Technician to join our healthcare technical team, assisting with the preparation of specialised spaces and equipment for teaching within the School of Life and Health Sciences.

Key responsibilities include supporting the team while preparing and setting up equipment and materials for teaching a range of clinical skills and supporting simulated learning. Previous experience of providing technical support in a similar environment is highly desirable. This hands-on role will suit someone with experience of and interest in supporting practical-based subjects in healthcare, such as nursing, allied health, physical therapies, and broader public health and social care.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of clinical procedures, equipment and environments, and of what makes an effective clinical and/or learning environment. Experience in risk assessment, COSHH and hazardous waste disposal is desirable.
