A leading aerospace company is looking for quality management placement students in various UK locations including Cheltenham. Successful candidates will engage in projects involving supplier quality, product quality, and process improvements. Ideal for business or engineering students in their penultimate year, this placement offers real-world experience and a potential pipeline to future leadership roles.
Responsibilities will vary depending on the location and role, as each site has unique projects, production processes, and priorities. You could be involved in investigating quality issues, auditing products and suppliers, reviewing materials, analysing data or driving process improvements. This placement is an intended pipeline to our Operations Management Leadership Programme (OMLP), which is based across many UK sites. Towards the end of the placement year, graduate applications are opened with a view to securing a role prior to the end of the placement year. This opportunity is offered at Caledonian (Prestwick, Scotland), Cheltenham, and Gloucester (Dowty, a GE Aerospace company) sites. GE Aerospace Caledonian is a purpose-built aircraft engine overhaul facility adjacent to Glasgow Prestwick International Airport. The Caledonian site focuses on MRO for CF6 & GEnx engines, with engines undergoing performance testing on site before returning to customers. Dowty, based in Gloucestershire, is a leading supplier of electronically controlled, composite propeller systems for a wide range of civil and military applications.
