We’re seeking a future team member for the role of FX Analyst to join our EMEA FX Operations Confirmation & Settlement team. This role is located in Manchester

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Support the end-to-end confirmation and settlement lifecycle across FX products (spot, forwards, NDFs, and swaps), ensuring timely, accurate, and well‑controlled processing.
  • Validate and process trade confirmations (electronic and manual), ensuring accuracy of economic terms and resolving discrepancies with counterparts.
  • Facilitate settlements, manage payment instructions, and monitor currency cut-offs to meet deadlines.
  • Monitor exception queues and dashboards; investigate and resolve breaks, unmatched trades, and settlement issues promptly.
  • Handle client and counterparty queries with clear, professional communication and well‑documented follow‑ups.
  • Maintain robust controls, audit trails, and procedure documentation; contribute to operational risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Technology, Client Service, and Middle Office to streamline workflows and enhance control effectiveness.
  • Support MI/KPI reporting and dashboards; contribute to data quality improvements and analytics for team metrics.
  • Identify and assist in process improvements and automation opportunities using Power BI, Alteryx, and UiPath.
  • Contribute to playbook updates, procedure enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail, numerical literacy, and a problem‑solving mindset.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable managing client/counterparty interactions.
  • Proficiency with Excel and interest in learning Power BI, Alteryx, and UiPath.
  • Prior FX knowledge is beneficial but not essential. We value a strong interest in learning and applying digital tools (Power BI, Alteryx, UiPath) and AI‑assisted capabilities to drive quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborative approach with a focus on ownership, control, and continuous improvement.
  • Preferred (nice‑to‑have): Experience in FX or post‑trade operations (confirmations, settlements, reconciliations, exception management).
  • Preferred (nice‑to‑have): Hands‑on experience or strong interest in Power BI, Alteryx, and/or UiPath.
  • Preferred (nice‑to‑have): Curiosity about AI concepts and how they can improve operational efficiency and risk management.
  • Preferred (nice‑to‑have): Familiarity with workflow/case management tools and operational dashboards.
