The National Eczema Society (NES) invites applications for a fully funded UK PhD Studentship to support innovative, patient‑centred research that advances understanding and improves outcomes for people living with eczema.
This funding scheme is open to all aspects of eczema research — from laboratory science to psychosocial, clinical, or public health approaches. NES welcomes interdisciplinary and cross‑sector proposals that address the biological, psychological, and social dimensions of eczema.
All projects must be patient‑centric, aligning with the NES Research Strategy, and include meaningful involvement of people with lived experience of eczema (PPI). Collaboration with the NES Expert by Experience (EXEC) advisory group is strongly encouraged.

Funding is for projects based in the UK, but international collaborations and data sharing are encouraged where relevant but NES will only fund domestic student rates.
