Qualifications

• Understanding of the NSF and Mental Health Act/Mental Health Capacity Act.
• Experience in managing a caseload of clients with mental health issues.
• Ability to assess and co-ordinate care integrating physical health and substance misuse.

Responsibilities

• Conduct timely triage assessments in police custody.
• Engage with individuals with complex needs to navigate the criminal justice system.
• Work collaboratively with police and criminal justice professionals.

Skills

Understanding of NSF and Mental Health Act requirements

Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System

Community care management

Ability to manage a busy caseload

Clinical supervision

Education

Professional mental health qualification (e.g., RMN, Social Work Degree)
