Freight and Logistics Manager — Royal Wootton Bassett, Office Based

£50,000pa + benefits

This vacancy calls for an international Freight and Logistics Manager with sound experience of building strategic partnerships with 3PL providers. You will ensure compliance with customs and international regulations whilst maintaining cost, quality and service efficiencies.

Candidates need to be based within a reasonable commutable distance of Royal Wootton Bassett.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee worldwide inbound and outbound freight operations.
• Manage relationships with third-party freight and logistics providers; monitoring service levels, negotiating contracts and ensuring KPIs are met.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including VAT, duties, tariffs, and customs documentation.
• Analyse freight spend and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.

Key Skills/Experience

• Proven experience in international freight, ideally in a distribution or import/export environment.
• Strong proficiencies in customs procedures, cross border VAT, duties and tariffs.
• Experience of managing 3PL service providers including negotiating Service Agreements
• Knowledge of Incoterms and International Trade Documents
• Good communication and analytical abilities
