Overview

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Civils Project Manager to oversee the delivery of civil engineering works on a major power project near Moffat. This role requires strong leadership and technical oversight to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day civils activities across the project site.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with quality and HSE standards.
  • Programme management - monitoring progress and reporting against key milestones.
  • Liaise with the client, engineers, and wider project team to resolve technical and logistical challenges.
  • Drive cost, quality, and safety performance throughout the civils package.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project records, reports, and risk assessments.
Qualifications
  • Proven track record as a Project Manager within civils/infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of groundworks, drainage, and enabling works.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (preferred).
  • Ability to work independently on a freelance/contract basis
