A leading construction company in the UK is seeking a Framework HS&E Manager responsible for overall health, safety, and environmental performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive senior-level experience in HS&E within the infrastructure or similar regulated sectors and a NEBOSH Diploma. This role involves leading HS&E strategies, engaging with stakeholders, and developing performance metrics. As Framework HS&E Manager, you will be a key member of the framework senior leadership team, with overall accountability for health, safety and environmental performance. Reporting to the Head of HS&E, you will lead the development and delivery of the HS&E strategy across the framework, ensuring consistent, compliant and continually improving standards.
You will work closely with internal teams, clients, supply chain partners and regulators, while contributing to the wider HS&E strategy for the Environment Division and Galliford Try Group.
Lead and deliver the framework HS&E strategy, driving continual improvement across safety, health and environmental performance.
Champion Galliford Try’s behavioural programme ‘Challenging Beliefs, Affecting Behaviours’ across sites and leadership teams.
Own, implement and assure the framework HS&E management system, aligned to client and regulatory requirements.
Develop, monitor and report HS&E performance metrics and KPIs, providing strategic insight and direction.
Engage, influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across the full project lifecycle.
Lead, develop and mentor the HS&E team, fostering a high-performance, learning-focused culture.
Drive risk mitigation and best practice to protect people, the business, and the environment.
Proven senior-level HS&E leadership experience within infrastructure, water or a similar regulated environment.
Demonstrated success in developing and delivering HS&E strategies and management systems.
Strong leadership capability with experience coaching and developing high-performing teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, from site teams to senior leadership.
Commercially aware, analytical and confident operating in complex, fast-paced environments.
Strong knowledge of HS&E legislation, systems, risk management and performance reporting.
