Job summary

A popular food service company in Greater London is seeking an FP&A Manager. This role involves leading business partnerships in budgeting and forecasting, as well as financial reporting. Candidates should have a strong finance background with a focus on the hospitality sector and excellent interpersonal skills for interaction with senior leadership. Other requirements include experience with Excel and familiarity with financial management software. A passion for pasta is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of practical finance experience.
  • Experience in hospitality is essential.
  • Experience in a franchise relationship is an advantage.

FP&A Manager

Description

The FP&A Manager takes the lead role in business partnering and manages our budgeting/forecasting process. Since we are a small team they also support financial control and reporting for our restaurants and head office departments.

What you'll do at Pasta Evangelists:
Financial & Commercial analysis
  • Business Partner for key areas of the business (restaurants, marketing, product/ technology, events) leading regular meetings & providing ad hoc analysis and reports.
  • Communicate budgets to teams and monitor performance against these.
  • Own the weekly KPI/ flash reporting process, ensuring we have an up to date view of performance.
  • Drive & support efficiency projects and cost saving initiatives in key areas.
Forecasting & Planning
  • Manage the annual budget, business plan and quarterly reforecasting processes, coordinating inputs from the finance team and wider business.
  • Monthly variance analysis against budget to improve forecasts & build a culture of accountability within the business.
Financial Control
  • Lead monthly financial reporting for restaurants and head office departments.
  • As part of the senior finance team, contribute broadly to the month end closing process (inventory, prepayments, accruals, allocations).
  • Support Head of Finance with improving Finance processes and controls, especially relating to business partnering departments.
Who you are:
  • Qualified/part qualified accountant with 3 years+ practical finance experience.
  • Experience working in hospitality is essential; experience working within a franchise relationship (as a franchisee or franchisor) would be an advantage.
  • Confident in presenting to senior leaders, this role requires extensive interaction with our CFO, CEO and wider Leadership team.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure and to strict deadlines.
  • Strong Excel skills, experience with PowerBI would be helpful.
  • Previous use of Xero and of an inventory management system is preferable.
