Forklift & Yard Person with some office work as required.

PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY

Hours: 6:00 AM - 1:30 PM (Monday to Friday)

Salary: Approximately £25,500 per year DOE

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Forklift & Yard Person to join our team. This role is essential to the smooth running of our yard operations, ensuring materials are handled, stored, and distributed safely and efficiently. You will play a key part in maintaining an organised, safe, and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials safely.
• Organise, maintain, and manage stock within the yard.
• Ensure goods are stored correctly and in line with company procedures.
• Assist with preparing customer and delivery orders.
• Perform regular checks on forklifts and yard equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy yard at all times.
• Support general yard duties, including manual handling and assisting colleagues when needed.
• They are ideally looking some someone to also offer some office support as needed.

Requirements

• Valid forklift licence essential.
• Previous experience in a similar role or yard environment desirable.
• Good awareness of health and safety practices.
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
