Responsibilities

  • Hold and manage a small cohort of mentally disordered offenders.
  • Forensic clinical leadership with interagency working.
  • Forensic assessments and second opinions on risk management.
  • Provide clinical oversight of the Criminal Justice Pathway.
  • Support the Liaison & Diversion Service.
  • Build close links with the Rehabilitation Service.
  • Support training of Specialist Registrars and teaching of Medical Students.
  • Initiate innovative research and engage in Quality Improvement Projects.

Skills

Excellent knowledge of speciality
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Ability to meet duties under MHA and MCA
Ability to work in and lead a team
Participated in research and service provision

Education

MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
Fully registered with GMC with license
Approved clinician status
