Overview

Oatlands Park Hotel is located on the historic site of a Royal Tudor Palace built by King Henry VIII. We are hiring for a Food and Beverage Assistant to join our dynamic Bar team!

You will thrive in a fast paced environment, and you should have a good knowledge about wines, spirits and cocktails.

What will you do?

You will report to the Bar Manager. You will provide guests with an excellent drinking experience and always provide a high level of customer service.

Main Responsibilities

• You will greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• You will create classic and innovative drinks and pour pints.
• You will be responsible for setting up the bar, cashing up, locking up, stock takes, stock control, cellar management, cleaning lines, health & safety, and maintenance.
• You will promote, describe and upsell items, inform guests and offer alternative products.
• You will serve food and drinks to guests quickly and efficiently, with excellent customer service.
• You will restock supplies in the bar and ensure stock rotation.
• Ensure performance standards are adhered to.
• To ensure all bar areas are clean and tidy.

Education and Qualifications

• A Hospitality qualification or be working towards one (Desirable, but not necessarily required).
• You should have a GCSE Grade C (or above) in English or Maths.

Required Skills and Experience

• You should be able to multi-task.
• You should be able to work collaboratively with others and have good verbal communication skills.
• You must be able to work effectively under pressure.
• You should have a "can do" attitude, and be open to suggestions and constructive feedback.
• Ability to think fast and deliver solutions on a daily basis.
• Live within a commutable distance of the hotel.
