Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Ensure cleanliness in assigned wards/areas according to the Work Schedule.
  • Vacuum, sweep, scrub, and mop floors.
  • Clean and descale sanitary fittings, including toilets and sinks.

Overview

FM Assistant
Band 2 - £12.51 per hour (£24,465 per annum pro rata)
Part time - 20.5 hours per week - Please see rota below
(Week 1 – Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday all 3-7 and Week 2 – Monday 3-7/Tuesday 3-7/ Wednesday 3-7/ Thursday 3-7/ Friday 3-7/ Saturday 8-1)
Base - Rochford Hospital

This post will include Unsocial Hours Payments as follows:
Saturday - Time plus 41% of the salary

Responsibilities

To ensure that the ward(s) / areas you are assigned to are cleaned in accordance with the Work Schedule for those ward(s) / areas.

  • Vacuuming floors; sweeping, scrubbing and mopping floors
  • High and low dusting; wiping over and polishing (where applicable) surfaces, mirrors, chairs*
  • Bed frames*, bins, sani-bins; cleaning toilets, sinks, baths and showers
  • Cleaning cookers, regeneration ovens, fridges, holding fridges, microwaves and other items in the kitchens
  • Defrosting fridges on a regular basis
  • Restocking consumables such as toilet tissue, hand towels, soap
  • Descaling taps; and replacing bin liners

* Providing they have not been soiled with body fluids
