Flexible Cover Teacher – Secondary School – Fareham, Hampshire
Start Date: Immediate | Contract Type: Full-Time, Adhoc basis
Salary: £90 – £140 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic Flexible Cover Teachers to support secondary mainstream schools in Fareham on a full-time, adhoc basis starting immediately. This position is ideal for teachers seeking flexibility or students aspiring to gain experience in the education sector.

In this role, you will step into classrooms in the absence of regular teaching staff, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive and engaging environment for pupils. You will collaborate with school staff to help students stay focused and motivated throughout the school day.

To be a Flexible Cover Teacher, your responsibilities will be:

• Deliver lessons and supervise classes according to provided plans
• Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment
• Support individual pupils or small groups as required
• Monitor and report on pupil engagement and behaviour
• Encourage a positive and productive learning atmosphere
• Follow school policies and procedures at all times
• Communicate effectively with teaching and support staff
• Ensure learning continuity during teacher absences

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification is desirable
• Experience teaching in secondary school classrooms is desirable
• Ability to manage a class and maintain a positive learning environment
• Confident in delivering lessons across multiple subjects or key stages
• Flexible, adaptable, and reliable with a proactive attitude
• Enhanced DBS registered on the update service, or willingness to apply via GSL Education
