Job description

Are you an experienced Machine Operative with a good understanding of static plants and isolation procedures? Do you have a great eye for detail and fault finding and are happy to work outside in all weathers?

If you answered yes then Holcim are looking for someone just like you to join them as a fixed plant operative trialling a new project. The successful candidate will be someone who has a manufacturing background, is flexible and happy to work independently.

£13.25 per hour

Location

Holcim, Bardon Hill, Coalville LE67 1TD

Shift pattern

05.00am - 2.00pm (48hrs per week)

3-6 months initially

Responsibilities
  • Walk the plant
  • Maintain the wash plant
  • Basic fault finding
  • Check all production belts are working correctly
  • Highlight and report back on any work that needs undertaking
  • Drive the process of getting any issues fixed in a timely manner
  • Communicate with internal and external contacts in a clear and efficient manner
Experience and qualifications
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Previous experience as a machine operator
  • Capacity to operate with minimal supervision
  • Strong IT literacy skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Willing to be on your feet all day
