£20.55 per hour
Based at Pickerings depot in Willand, near Tiverton
45 hours per week, 7am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday
Overtime hours paid at one and a half times basic hourly rate

Who Are Pickerings

Pickerings is a leading supplier of high-quality temporary buildings. We design and supply solutions to a diverse customer base, including schools needing extra classrooms, commercial businesses needing additional office space and construction sites needing a complex of offices and welfare facilities.

The Role

You’ll undertake regular maintenance and servicing of our generator fleet, to maximise their availability for hire. Our generators range from 25 to 100 kVA and are predominantly enclosed in a service pod or welfare unit. You’ll also support the depot’s operational team with maintenance of our buildings and their preparation for delivery, which may include installation, repair or adjustment of plumbing, electrical and general fixtures and fittings.

About You

You’ll be a time-served or qualified generator engineer, with practical experience of maintaining and servicing generators up to 117 KVa. Ideally, you’ll also have practical experience of industrial trades such as joinery, plumbing and electrics. Our work is physically demanding and takes place outdoors, so you should be prepared to be exposed to extremes of weather.
