Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst
Circa £49,680 dependent on skills and experience
Permanent, full time (37 hours) with flexibility for part time
Huntingdon

Reporting to the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager (FP&A Manager), this role will be responsible for consolidating enterprise level financial performance and forecasts for Opex and Totex, working closely with Business Partnering teams to deliver timely and accurate performance information. You will produce analysis for AWS Board reports on Opex, Totex and the Annual Performance Bonus. You will also produce cost analysis for the Annual Integrated Report.
You will play a key role in the annual budget process for Opex and Capex, collaborating with colleagues across the wider finance team to reconcile budget targets and cost forecasts, creating visibility of risks and opportunities against the budget for escalation to the Head of FP&A. You will also be the owner of the finance budget model and administer budget targets, ensuring adherence to the Scheme of Delegation. Using your expertise, you will provide analytical and modelling support to the FP&A Manager and wider finance community, collaborating on continuous improvement projects.

Key responsibilities
  • Alongside the FP&A Manager, you will be responsible for collaborating with colleagues across the wider finance team and business to gather information and produce analysis for the following AWS Board meetings

  • Chief Executive and Chief Finance Officers reports for Opex and Totex

  • Shareholder information requests as required

  • Opex year on year movements for Annual Integrated Reports

  • Financial reporting for Executive Committees

  • Across all activities, you will use trends and analysis to robustly assure cost and forecast submissions
